Welcome on Wednesday (WoW)
WoW has been serving food, drink and conversation to everyone who comes through the doors since 2017. The lunchtime session has been popular with many people in Long Eaton and is a real community. Thanks to our volunteers and the generosity of local businesses, these meals are free. If you would like a hot meal or just some company please do pop in from 11am for warm drinks and 12pm for lunch.
Food Bank
Originally set up under St John’s, Long Eaton & Sawley food bank provides emergency food supplies to individuals and families in our local community who have fallen on hard times. We continue to be closely involved in the food bank, you can find out more here
Outreach
St John’s works with a number of schools within our parish to bring God’s word alive. At Christmas and Easter we engage the young people of our community with the message of God’s redeeming love.
A centre for our community
Our halls are used by many different groups through the week. 3rd Long Eaton Scout Group & the 2nd Long Eaton Guide Groups meet on weekday evenings alongside dance classes, wellbeing groups and dog trainers.
