St John’s is an active, welcoming family with lots going on. This section will tell you a bit about who we are and what goes on. For the latest news on what is going on at St John’s see the Notices.
Vicar & the PCC
Hello, my name is Sam Tredwell. I have been the vicar here at St John’s for the last two years.
The PCC is the group responsible for overseeing the governance of the church. We meet from time to time as we seek to discern God’s plan for St John’s.
Our growth groups meet on a weekly or fortnightly basis to study God’s word, for fellowship and social activities. Groups meet on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday evenings and on a Tuesday afternoon.
From tots to teenagers St John’s is blessed by our children and young people. At our 10:30am service there are groups that meet together:
Tot Spot (0 – 4yrs) – We meet in a small room in the main church building with stories and craft activities.
Sunday Club (5 – 10 yrs) – We meet in the Small Hall opposite the church. Currently most things in Sunday club focus around Lego!
Pathfinders (11+ yrs ) – We meet in the Large Hall opposite the church to explore God’s word in a relaxed atmosphere.
We believe all who attend (or otherwise interact with our church community) have the right to do so in a safe environment. If you have concerns then please do raise them following the guidance set out in our Safeguarding Flowchart.
